Tongue in cheek moment- Col O P Mehndiratta was taking a class in Anaesthesia in 4th term, and I was in the last bench carving on a piece of chalk piece. I was nudged by RJ who was sitting next to me, to look up and to see the entire class standing! when I stood up – I was asked by Col Mehndiratta “ what is your answer” and I Promptly asked – “Sir, what is the question ?” there were sniggers all around, He repeated his question – “How will you make out that the endotracheal tube is in the trachea?” I replied without missing a beat –“Dip the other end underwater and you will see bubbles if it in the trachea!”, the entire class broke into peals of laughter!

What I could change about myself - to try and take more pictures
Wish I could change about AFMC – nothing
If I was not a doctor – I would be an engineer
The journey so far:
Has been Amazing. Joined the Air force, posted to CHAF Bangalore as an intern, then moved to  HQ EAC Shillong as MO. After 2 years and nine months – was back in AFMC to do my PG in Surgery.  Had C Vidyashankar as my room mate!, I used to cook in my room and had impromptu get together’s in my room. Stayed on for a year and four months at AFMC as a Clinical Tutor in Surgery – with Addu. Moved to No 7 AFH at Kanpur as a Surgeon, got married to Uma immediately on reaching Kanpur, my elder son Rahul was born there in 1996, moved to No 10 AFH at Hasimara for 2 years and then was in Bangalore NIMHANS for my study leave in Neurosurgery. My younger son was born in 2000 while at Bangalore, I stayed for a year after study leave in Bangalore and then moved to CHCC Lucknow for four years and then was back in CHAF Bangalore for seven years and am now at AHRR for two years.
I’ve been instrumental in formulating and implementing Hospital Disaster Management in CHCC Lucknow and CHAFB, I have undergone a two weeks course in Mass Casualty and Disaster management at Rambam Medical Center at Haifa Israel in 2009.
My thoughts: Help everybody, harm nobody.
Where do I see myself in the next 10 years – Retired and working in a Corporate Hospital in South
