Favourite Teacher: KKPK… blur after that…!

What could change about myself: Make the slope less slippery!

What I could change about AFMC: Went too fast!

Tongue in cheek moment: ENT Finals VII Term- Viva; barely managed to find a place where it was held at CHSC. Went in within two minutes or so of parking my bike outside the lecture hall. Tried really hard to ‘shutri’ my way thru the process, when the moment of my lifetime was unfolding---!
All three of the examiners, who were at least COL and above- “lots of brass” across the table, decided to turn this exam into a life coaching session! Sorry, can’t recall names now, but the one thing that stuck to date was “ Son, you will be a doctor soon, learn what you read (guess they were talking academics) as to teach it to the next person you talk to.”!!! The light just came on and have followed that till date! :)
Viva over … Muttu passed!

If I was not a doctor: Professional Poker Player… who knows??

Journey so far: Hmm! “Kal Kya Hoga Kis Ko Pata?” I have always lived life to the fullest with one big exception: am referring to January 14th, 1992, New Delhi, when I became WE; the rest can all be summed up as “satisfaction”.
1987- The Golden Years in White -
Wardroom - INHS Asvini -

Starting with the golden 5 years in White, down the silver road to medicine leading through Brooklyn, NY, on to the magical city of Orlando. Even though I love to travel, we spent 18 years at one stop, Orlando, FL, where we all grew and made magic in the land of Mickey, especially for the kids, HHM! Professionally, I took a giant step out of Internal Medicine, which was the base, into the unchartered world of Hospitalist Medicine, living every day anew and learning the skills to make a 7NT slam. Now, here we are, across the country on the West Coast in California, staying busy with my new role with EmCare as RMD, directing resources to grow the Inland Empire of the Southern California Valley. We are enjoying life in So Cal lots still to explore on the hills covered with wineries and such, starting to settle in, but who knows, we could hop to Hawaii Aloha!, skip to Tahiti “Bora Bora” or jump back to Aamchi India!!

My thoughts: Keep playing poker…!

Next 10 years: “U” dont want to read it again ;) ^^ <3 <3

Text from friends/kids:

Everyone calls him “Muttu”, but we call him Pops! Every kid thinks they have the best dad, but we know that ours really is! He is the most hardworking and loving man in town, and has always given us everything we could have asked for and more. He has always prioritized his family and made sure to be a guiding light in our lives. We are so thankful for all the hard work he does!  He loves to travel, and always takes us around the world with him. We like to think we’re funny, but really we get our sense of humor from him! He is always the life of the party and loves to show people a good time. He is a spellbinding storyteller and his poker face is killer, we’ll definitely see him competing in the WSOP one day! The neverending stories from his AFMC days are hilarious and starting to become relatable, especially the one he tells us about missing two days of his life because he was sleeping after his first bhaang experience after fourth term Holi.
We love him unconditionally, but not when he beats us in poker, or bowling, or chess, or table tennis… you get the flow--- he’s a pretty great guy. Our DAD is the best number one DAD. Wears DAD CAP so we know he is DAD. #flyingdad
