Children     :Degant, a computer engineer working at Microsoft along with Neha ( recently married). Ayushi also about to become a computer engineer in Jul, currently interning at Amazon.

Hobbies     : Swimming, cycling, bird watching, reading, numismatics, philately

 AFMC memories: Recollect someone fainting our first day in the dissection room; Dr Zargar throwing my journal across the room after I had been struggling for 2 hours attempting to draw something pink & blue (no clue what I was seeing down the microscope);  the smell of rain, umpteen trips to main street, Marz O Rin, insti, NCC camp at Panchgani, attempting to study at night with coffee( beating it to perfection with Anita) & tons of Maggie consumed, election fever, college week, swimming trophy. Mandy, Neeta, Anita & TC were roommates in various terms. Neeta never let anyone get a word in. In any case she only came to the room when it was gate locking time at the girls hostel. Mandy would desperately try to keep the room clean with no help from us.

Another crazy memory is travelling on the roof of Jhelum while returning from Pulse.

My journey so far:

Joined the AF & interned at Kirkee along with Usha, Vasu & Shyam. Here I met my future life partner Anil. Next I was sitting with a map searching for Amla (how many of you have heard of it) my first posting. In Jun 89 I got married & shifted to the Army & served at MH Kirkee again & MH Jhansi.   Finally took a PC in my seventh year of service & also appeared for PG entrance. Landed back in Pune in Dec 93 for Adv Course Ophthal. After completing the course got into a J trap…Jhansi, Jalandhar & Jodhpur. Finally broke the vicious cycle and moved to Secunderabad followed by Base Hospital Delhi. Had wonderful tenures everywhere. Now under orders of posting to Pune( CH)….always wonderful to go there.

Where do I see myself 10 yrs from now:

          Retired and working in a medical college or a charitable org with enough time to relax and fulfil what is left of my bucket list.
