Learning ropes of hostel life with best roomies - Georgie who would choose the most odd hour to tune his guitar and innovative bahaduriyaan of Ashmish while on 1 Top, the view point and missile launch pad for ladies hostel. U block generated a new cohesiveness with its goat barbecue, movie theatre, multipurpose courtyard ..one night angryT batchers came hunting only to U turn - protective neighbor Mr Maharashtra doing ritual pushups at 0330. Dorjee vs a more pious pundit on a Lonavla picnic just over a borrowed fry pan for a few sausages. Cycling to Rahul with softy,  nautank,  groovy,  jauhari,  dorjee as recommended by Pillais first show reviews. Annual giant wheel Mela trip with Neetas chatter.. last year reviewed in two circles.... Election parties, football World Cup,  Insti steps, blooming gulmohars,  squash with Nunni n Ahlu,  Freeeeee,  Freeee..
Strategic planning for first batch trophy, energising elixir with Surd,  Suri,  Anya just before NDA teams visit. Thrashing in water polo by engineering college team 13-0 improved to 14-1 next year!! WT pile on with Zaidis men in whites, trips to Pulse, missing Jhelum with Muttu and catching up in Ahmednagar..taxi chase Bollywood style,   melodies of rock star Gagya and Anastmosis,  stone Chuck competition with Paddy during library breaks,  filling appetizers of Omni, stealing ice cream for PP.  Final MB push ever grateful to Softy's perseverance,  Suzie's wake ups,  Vivek and Shamus perpetual  lights on..
Benevolent LGs for Daru ..bless them..wonder if they ever squared up with Dad.
Usually seen at : Always in squash court,   hanged around with probably everyone ..or wherever for whatever.
Never seen at: GH (till 8 th term)
Favourite teacher : All,  would be unfair to single out.. Till found one in AIIMS Prof SK Acharya..an Acharya in actual sense.
What I would change : Make them free birds once again.. Abolish cadet culture
If not a doctor : Gagan , my best friend of Cl 12, pushed an aimless guy to join AFMC. ( Grateful)
Maybe an architect,  definitely a contractor with all hidden renovation skills evolving.
Journey so far :
Internship in the busiest Base with BKG,  KK,  Seema and Mandy. Then Kargil-Drass with an Arty unit,  Gulmarg -Babina-DBN-Daranga a long 4 year tenure with a Rabbit Bn where learnt the ropes of army life and a life long association with great officers and men. After MD came the best tenure of Jodhpur with Shishir and Bhalla. Moved to Sierra Leone... Amongst the fear of survival were the Cocco  Jumbo moments with Bhanu and Mota Jo. Ranikhet with Dubeyji was a blissful time. Next 3 years at AIIMS just flew. Landed up with Surdy in base hospital Delhi.. Lots of memory lapsing parties.. Joined in Ahlu and Shyam to make it better.. Hectic week would culminate in a ritual of Saturday noon beering with Inji walking the extra mile. Moved to City Beautiful.. Probably it's called so because of Ravjit, Bunty,  Mandy and Sandha. Icing on cake were CM,  PC1, Malik.. Back to Delhi... Capitals charm and homeground to most of U.. Memorable time. Now Pathankot awaits U....
My Thoughts :
My gratitude to all of U for your camaraderie,  love, guidance, support and friendship. Been lucky to be blessed with a lovely family and friends.. May this never end.
Ten years from now :
Keep pursuing Gastroenterology , have a shack in wilderness,  bar stocked with single malts, telling stories to grand kids..
