Past history:
Life in college: hanging out with Jauhari, Sofat, among others; bunking clinics for retro movies at Alka; first gin party with Mota and Arjo; dinners at Silver Inn; parties at insti; Prof SKG’s quips; just soaking in the atmosphere
Life in uniform: Joined the IAF, internship at Chandigarh with Surd, RJ and Neetu, where I learnt the evergreen line ‘….regret xyz and promise it will never be repeated in future….’; MO tenures at Singharsi and Ayanagar. PG at Pune where I learned the right from my senior trainees and the wrong from my senior faculty. Post-PG tenures at Bangalore (twice), Jorhat (twice) and as a faculty at AFMC; with numerous interesting TDs thrown in. Was extremely fortunate to travel from Siachin to Port Blair and Jaisalmer to Shillong during my 25 years in uniform.
What I could change about myself: Get more fun-loving, I guess
Wish I could change about AFMC: I don’t know how it is now for the students, but I had unbridled fun…
If I was not a doctor: Maybe a primary school teacher
Where I see myself after ten years: Alive, but healthy
My thoughts: Irrespective, God has been kind
