Gujju was tall, lanky, with a sharp wit, earthy humour and loud laugh that filled the corridor outside the hostel room. He read fiction, world history, philosophy and short stories at a prolific pace, yet was always down to earth with everyone. His friends ranged from freshers to super seniors and many outside the bubble of college. At equal ease while interacting with the mess staff, autorickshaw wallahs to the 'intellectuals' in hostel, Gujju was a man of many shades that blended seamlessly. He was a constant companion and friend to so many of us, bright, intelligent, living each day with all out passion and an infectious energy. His life was rocky but he left a deep impact on everyone he came in touch with, through those heady college days. His son has graduated as a Doctor from Ahmedabad. He left this world too soon in 2003. 

Rest in Peace Dear Gujju.
