A Journey through Memory Lane

(a)          My Alma mater.   Becoming part of a large family of amazing people was the best thing that could happen to me. Years have only reinforced the fact of the extended family. Memories of each batch mate bring a smile to the lips and memories of those who left us early, a void. The song ‘Those were the days’, credited to Gene Raskin comes to the mind, every time I think of those golden days spent at college.

(b)         My Journey in Uniform. Life in the service has been satisfying and a potpourri of experiences. Command of a Naval hospital and commissioning of another Naval hospital would always be a source of pride and satisfaction. Tenures in Naval Headquarters, Command Headquarters and administrative appointments in hospitals added a wealth of experience. Courses at Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College were an unbelievable experience which I would always cherish.

(c)          Crystal Gazing.    Presently, life is in a stage of transition. Taking a path which my heart always wanted; full time photography, trekking, Wild life conservation, bird watching and travelling around the world. My biggest dream is to walk the length of the Himalayas.

Khanu’s passion was fast bikes and was hell on wheels on his 350 cc. A college blazer in table tennis was often seen in thick of any action. His transformation into the present avatar happened on being commissioned. Command of two Naval hospitals and completing both the Defence Services Staff college and the National Defence College are his Unique achievements. He is passionate about Photography, travel, mountains and wild life.
